There are 13 vehicle safety questions in total and you'll be asked two of
them before your practical driving test.
EXAMPLE: The Examiner may ask 'Could you tell me
how you would check that the brake lights are working on the car?'
You would explain that you'd turn the ignition on, depress the brake pedal while a friend checks the lights,
or you may use the reflection of the back of your car in a window or against a garage door if no one was around.
Then the Examiner may say, 'Show me how you would check the parking brake for excessive
wear'.
You would then demonstrate (with your foot on the footbrake)
by applying the handbrake, demonstrating that when it is fully applied it secures itself and is not at the end of its working
travel.
These questions may seem a little confusing on paper, but once you've
actually gone over the questions with your instructor in the car, they will make a lot more sense!
There is a link to all the combinations of questions on the contacts and links
